In 1st place is the Biogradska Gora. Biogradska Gora is a national park which was protected six years after the proclamation of the Yellowstone. It is the first World’s National Park located in Montenegro within Kolasin municipality. In 1878, this territory was proclaimed and the Biogradska Gora along with the two rivers Biogradska and Jezerstice were preserved.

In 2nd place is the Tara River Canyon. Tara River Canyon is a protected canyon as a part of Tara National Park and is to be a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The canyon is cut through the Tara River. It is the longest canyon in Montenegro.

In 10th place is the Durmitor. Durmitor is a mountain and a national park which is located in Montenegro. The name Durmitor is derived from Balkan Romance and means “sleeping”. The national park was established in the year 1952. It includes mountains of Durmitor, the canyon of Tara, Susica and Draga Rivers and even the higher part of the plateau Komarnica.
